Local Haitian Organization Helps Expand Country’s Sorghum Value Chain

The USAID Local Enterprise and Value Chain Enhancement Project (LEVE) is helping to nurture the high-performing local organization, Papyrus S.A., to enable it to grow its business, and enter the challenging world of direct USAID funding.

Today, Papyrus S.A. manages a six-year Brasserie Nationale d’Haiti (BRANA)/Heineken-led project, jointly funded by USAID-Haiti and the Inter-American Development Bank. The goal is to increase sorghum quality and yields to create a more efficient and sustainable supply chain, maintained by commercial beverage production.
